Every Friday Night, there is a great car meet/show in Laval. It is so enjoyable to walk around on a warm summer night appreciating all the beautiful works of art- as I like to call them. I feel nostalgic seeing all the vintage cars, reminding me of when they were parked in these lots decades ago. Brings me back to a time when I was with my dad and we would look at different models parked next to ours. Incredible how the years have passed. Yet these cars live on, because of the love and care their owners have for them.
On this particular Friday, June 17 2016, there was a flash rain storm! Took everyone by surprise. It was incredible to see, once the rain stopped, everyone started to clean and dry off their cars. You could feel the love the owners had for their pride and joy.

This show has become a tradition for me, and judging by the turnout on Saturday night, it would seem that many bikers feel as I do. This year the weather was beautiful, perfect for kicking off bike season. Many took advantage of the weather and went by bike, so not only were there many bikes to gawk at inside but also in the parking lot. A very welcoming sight. Inside, the venue was packed. Bikes, cars, tattoo artists, music, body painting! You can’t go wrong with this show! Sensory overload! You don’t know where to look first. Or when to look away…
One great big party!!

Once again John Scotti and East Coast Carz put on an exceptional show. The cars were all top notch works of art. I truly enjoyed this show. I strongly suggest to anyone who has a love for classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, modified cars, etc… to attend this show, you won’t be disappointed!

Once again I had the pleasure to attend the Bike and Tattoo Show. As every year it is truly enjoyable and promises a good time. This year the show seemed more crowded. I believe it is gaining popularity as the years go by. There were some changes this year. The tattoo section was on the east arena and the bikes on the west side. It made things less crowded. The only downfall to this is that there is no more car section. The cars were scattered between the bikes. As a car guy I was a little disappointed but it is a bike and tattoo show, not a car show. I went on Saturday and got to see three great bands. Steve Hill started the evening with an incredible performance. He was followed by Eagle Tears. Close your eyes and you will swear that it’s 1970. A really great rock band that is really tight. The show closed with a tribute to Led Zeppelin who did an amazing job at sounding just like Zep. All in all it was a great show!!

I attended the Autorama at the Montreal Olympic Stadium on Oct 12.2014. I have to admit I truly enjoyed myself. Seeing all these spectacular cars under one roof was quite the treat! As usual I went nuts and took over 300 pictures and shot a video. This was a show that I always attended in the past. I used to take my son and my nephew when they were kids. We always had such a great time. I was disappointed when the show stopped happening. For many years I waited for it to return. John Scotti and East Coast Carz did a phenomenal job bringing this show back to Montreal. Lets hope it’s here to stay.

We recently had the misfortune of having to make an insurance claim on our car. My wife had a fender bender! Nothing serious, no one got hurt but both cars needed repair. When dealing with the insurance company however, some bad memories came back. Years ago, my wife and I got hit while stopped on the auto route. Traffic had come to a standstill, but a distracted driver, who may have been on her phone, didn’t even notice that everyone was stopped and drove into the car behind me, who in turn slammed into the left side of the rear bumper. Fortunately again, no one was injured. The three cars involved where not so lucky.
Back then, just like now, the insurance company suggested the garage that we were to take our car to have it repaired. They claimed that the repair would be done faster, better, and that the job would be guaranteed for the life of the vehicle. Needless to say I took their advice. The garage in question was in the industrial park close to our home. They did not even have a courtesy car to give us! They did however do a great job and I had the car back within a week. Or so it seemed…

Had the chance to photograph my friend’s 67 Pontiac GTO. The car just came out of the shop, having gone through some cool mods. First the dash was changed. All gauges were updated with autometer gauges. The dash itself was painted blue with a carbon fiber finish. The air intake got the same treatment. Valve covers were changed too. The exhaust tips were also modified and placed right behind the back wheels.

As every year this show pretty much signals the beginning of bike season in Quebec. As other years the venue was filled to capacity and everyone seemed to have a great time. There is something magical that connects cars, bikes, tattoos, music and girls.  Bring these elements together and you are guaranteed a great time. A place to be for both voyeurs and exhibitionists to do, well, what they do.
I attended both Friday and Saturday evening. There is just far too much going on to take it all in in one night. I have to admit that I had a great time! However I took  far too many pics and videos lol. And going through it and posting it has been quite the job. A fun job yes, but it takes hours to go through all the footage.  To make it a little easier on both the viewer and myself, I have split up the pics in sections. The show itself had the bike section, the tattoo section, the hot rod (rat rod) and rockabilly section. I will be adding more pics in the future but for now here are some of my favorites.
